The "Gender, Water, and Climate Mobility in Afghanistan" project focuses on addressing the critical intersections of water resources, climate change, and migration patterns, with a strong emphasis on gender equity. The project seeks to generate actionable insights through the systematic collection of data on water availability, quality, and climate-induced migration trends. These findings will serve as the foundation for advocating policies that directly address the unique vulnerabilities faced by women and other marginalized groups impacted by water scarcity and climate mobility.

Key Activities

  1. Data Collection
    A structured data collection program is implementing to systematically analyze water resource availability and quality across affected regions. This will include studying the patterns and drivers of climate-induced migration to establish a clear understanding of the socio-environmental challenges facing communities.

  2. Community Engagement
    Engaging local communities is a vital aspect of the project. Awareness campaigns are conducting to educate communities on the importance of monitoring and conserving water resources. Additionally, these campaigns will emphasize the relationship between climate change and migration, fostering a deeper understanding of climate mobility among the affected populations.

  3. Data Analysis and Reporting
     Identify key trends, challenges, and gaps in water management and climate resilience. The findings will be compiled into details policy briefs, which will be shared with key stakeholders, including local governments, NGOs, and international organizations, to inform evidence-based decision-making.

  4. Advocacy and Dissemination
    To drive policy change, the project will organize events, workshops, and presentations to disseminate its findings.
